Laurelhurst Village is currently in the process of an extensive remodel and expansion scheduled to be completed by October of 2007. This rebuilding project is just one of the many steps taken toward our final goal of Laurelhurst Village having a state-of-the-art physical plant to care for its residents. During construction, Laurelhurst will continue to provide care and services to all of its residents.

General Information

• Resident pick-up and drop-off, along with deliveries, will only be made in the back of the building off of SE 30th Avenue.
• Parking along the driveway located off of SE Stark (one direction only from east to west) will be closed periodically to allow for deliveries pertaining to construction.
• Parking is available in the lot off of SE 30th Avenue.

Health & Rehabilitation Center

• Window installation for the east side will be completed this month; the west side was installed last month.
• Framing for the roof on the east side has been built, asphalt roof shingles have been installed.
• The 2nd floor interior walls and ceilings have been framed.

Long Term Care Building

• Exterior painting will be complete by the end of the month.
• The metal roof above the elevator was installed. The cement and steel framing for the elevator shaft is complete.
• The new elevator will be installed this month.

Chapel Entry

• Plaster work has begun on the exterior.

All Interior Floors

• Painting for the wall trim and base was completed earlier this month.
• Carpet and remaining vinyl flooring has been installed.
• Installation of ceramic tiles in the bathrooms has been finished.
• Projected opening for this section of the remodel is June 2007.
